Sunday Notes: Jan 8

There are a lot of nuggets of truth from this Sunday's word at my church. So many little things that will challenge you and your relationship with God. I know they are challenging me!

Ezekiel 37: (The Valley of Dry Bones)

Verses 1-14: He brings restoration
Verses 15-22: He’s a God of unification
Verses 23-28: He’s a God of sanctification

If God’s in your boat, its gonna float.

You gotta make some deposits if you’re gonna withdraw anything.

Judgment should begin in the house of God, and before that happens you need a relationship with Him.

When God brings restoration he speaks, broods, and brings conviction.

God is a God that is always moving.

If you don’t move you’re going to get left behind.

You find victory when God begins to move, and you being to move with Him.

It’s God who takes the initiative. You didn’t find Him, He found you.

When the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray that’s God speaking and taking initiative.

Sometimes rebellion is just not doing what you’re supposed to do when you’re supposed to do it.

You’re not supposed to get ahold of the scripture; it will get ahold of you.

Only God can talk to dry bones and expect something to happen.

Sinews on the bones= God’s love

Love and faith are action verbs.

Love is proven and pronounced.

God puts muscle on you and that gives you the power to love others.

God is not interested in you doing things on your own.
