Sunday Sermon Notes: April 1

We thought it would be funny to whip out some popcorn when my Pastor started preaching, since it was April Fool's Day... but we thought of the idea a little too late. Maybe for next year. Here are my notes. Enjoy! 

Matthew 21:1-17 

Mainly verse 6- "The disciples went and did exactly what Jesus told them to do." 

• God gives us an exacto knife so we can do exactly what he tells us to do. 
• It doesn't take a lot of veering to get of track.
• You can't do before you be.
• disciple= discipline
• Be not hearers of the word but doers also. 
• We cannot do what God says to do if we forget what He said. We need to be interested! 
• We are supposed to be sent by God. 
• If we're not doing, there's no sense of being.
• Sin and guild will dull your senses. 
• Just get stuffed with Jesus.
• The only way the glory comes is if you walk in full obedience. 

Exodus 25:9

"Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you."

1 Chronicles 28:11-13

^"11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. ¹² Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. ¹³ Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name. "

• God is your pattern and you can lay down on Him and He will cut you out. 
• If you want the glory do it unto the story!

2 Chronicles 5:12-14

^"12 and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets ¹³ in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the LORD saying, “He indeed is good for His loving kindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, ¹⁴ so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God."

• The house you are building is the house you will have for eternity, don't cut corners. 
• God will take you thru and not out of your situation. 
• God will change your nature, the lion will now lay down with the lamb.
