Sunday Sermon Notes: Feb 19

Here are my Sunday notes from Feb 19. My pastor continued his series out of Ezekiel 37.

From Salvation to Security

• God will come in His people before He comes for His people. 
• Are we on the Lords side? If so, we're on the winning side. 
• When God brings you out of sin He is restoring your life. 
• If you're gonna be a Christian you might as well go all the way! 
• When it comes to the Kingdom of God, a little dab won't do it. 
• Do not be drunk on wine but be full of the Spirit! 
• Every member of the body of Christ has a function. 
• EVERYTHING created has a purpose. 
• You can choose to be a vessel of honor or a vessel of dis-honor. 

2 Timothy 2:20-21

²⁰ In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. ²¹ Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

• Sanctification: Coming out of the world and coming into God.
• Live in a way that the devil doesn't even want to mess with you. 

Ezekiel 37:23-28
 ²⁴ “My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. ²⁵ They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. ²⁶ I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. ²⁷ My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people. ²⁸ Then the nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever."

• Where are you dwelling? 
• It makes a difference where you feel comfortable. 
• Being uncomfortable isn't a bad thing. 
• Jesus is knocking at your hearts door, open it up! 
• Be comfortable with God's presence.  
• You can't take a branch and hold it up against a tree and expect it to produce life. 
• How is your spiritual heartbeat? 
• The oxygen in heaven is cleaner than the oxygen on Earth. 
• Sanctification prepares us for the presence of the Lord. 
• We can come into God's presence but it's already in us. 
• Fill up your temple with God!
