40 days for life

Yesterday marked the first day of 40 days for life. 40 days set aside to pray and fast to end abortion. Here is the vision and mission straight from their website, 

"40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil to end abortion.

The mission of the campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion."

I had the honor to participate in the kickoff night in Grand Rapids, MI. We led a candlelit walk from Life International to the abortion clinic 3 blocks away, 320 Fulton St. Grand Rapids, MI. It was a very sobering moment to see everyone taking a stand for life. I encourage you to take part in this either in your city, there are more than 316 locations nationwide, or individually during your prayer time. 

2 Chronicles 7:14

¹⁴ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
