right and wrong are not bffs!

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14-18 Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way:
“I’ll live in them, move into them;

    I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people.

So leave the corruption and compromise;

    leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you.
    I want you all for myself.
I’ll be a Father to you;
    you’ll be sons and daughters to me.”
The Word of the Master, God.

Talk about a challenge! These verses are encouraging and also challenging. The Bible states it pretty clear. (if you didn't get it, read it again) The first line says it all, "Don't become partners with those who reject God."
It's hard to have friendships and relationships with others if you are going different directions.
I have had to "break up" with friends because our lives were going two different directions and our morals and beliefs weren't lining up with each other. It was hard during the moment to break off the friendship but it would've been easier for that friend to pull me down rather than for me to pull them up. It would've been easier for me to compromise my beliefs rather for them to change their mindset. You should NEVER compromise who God has made you to be for a friend.

Take some time and examine your friendships and relationships. Are they causing you to compromise who God has made you to be? Are they pulling you into their world?
If so, it may be time for those friends to go.
