What's in my GIANT bag?

After having the hygienist at my dentist appointment comment, "Wow, that's a big bag!" (in the nicest way possible of course). I explained to her that I was gone over the weekend and haven't switched back to a normal sized bag yet. So, I thought I would share with you what I found in my bag after a crazy weekend before I switch back to an everyday smaller, weighs more like a baby rather than a toddler bag.
My bag is pretty large. I bought it last summer to use as a carry on for a trip to California. Basically you can fit anything into it. Laptop, text books, a small toddler... you get the point. [bought from justfab they don't have the same bag on their site anymore but their bags are amazing!!!]
Eh... it looks scary huh? It is also pretty heavy.
Not 1... but 2 makeup bags. NYX blotting sheets, NYX silver glitter rollerball, l'oreal concealer crayon, nail polish remover pads, casino no 5 sephora eyeshadow, stella rollerball perfume, rimmel stay matte powder, lemon hand sanitizer. All perfect weekend essentials, especially the glitter.
tic tacs, guard tape (electrical tape), vitamin c drops, ipod5, revlon lipgloss in super natural
wallet, random $10 bill, dove go fresh, urban decay de-slick, first aid kit, EOS balm, baby lips, revlon just bitten lip-stain, starburst wrappers
hair tie, gum (candy cane gum- yes, you need to buy it), drum stick, guard block, keys, my "i'm important" badge, and my favorite item that was found... a packet of sweet relish.

There ya have it folks. As much as people share "what's in my bag" blogs, videos, instagrams, I think the contents of a woman's handbag will always be a complete surprise. Not only to the person asking, but to the woman who owns the bag.

Another trip to Ulta

I once again crossed some things off the ever growing list of things that I want to buy. (mostly beauty products). I had an evening to myself and thought I would take an hour and stroll the isles of Ulta once again. Here's what came home with me.
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara: This is a new product on the market and I thought the packaging was really cute. However, I wasn't that impressed. It left my lashes on the dry side and didn't hold curl very well. I went back to using my maybelline falsies after a week.
Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Foundation: Ok, this is also a new product. I have never tried anything from physicians formula and I am super impressed and really loving this foundation. It's soft, smooth and doesn't leave me oily after an hour. I tried the brush it came with but prefer to use my real techniques expert face brush. (for sure going to re-purchase this!)
TreSemme Thermal Creations: This heat protectant is great. If you aren't protecting your hair before you style it with heat, shame on you! Buy this and you will thank me later.
Revlon PhotoReady Concealer: This is one of my favorite concealers for blemishes! I have re-purchased this for 2 years. It's amazing coverage and for the price you really won't find anything better.
Bliss No 'Zit' Sherlock: This is possibly my holy grail of skincare. For someone who has been blessed with adult acne this is the only thing that will work. It is a bit drying so I don't use the moisturizer every day. When I don't use the moisturizer I put some coconut oil on my face. It helps kill bacteria and moisturizes too.
Essie- Bikini So Teeny: I have been waiting to buy this polish for a couple months. Everytime I go somewhere that sells Essie it's always sold out. But I finally got my hands on it. It's a pretty light blue with very very subtle fine silver specks in it.

Ulta Haul

Birthdays are always a great excuse to slip away to Ulta for the evening to look for the perfect gift and go up and down the isles of all the beauty products. Although it is also a great way to spend more money than you actually have in your checking account. Gotta check your self-control at the door.
This is what I bought, most of which ended up being a gift but you can't go in without getting something for yourself too!
Real Techniques brushes are amazing! I am slowly building a collection! Designed by PixiWoo beauty guru, Samantha Chapman. Try one of the brushes and you will be in love!
I have heard great things about this tangle teezer brush. It is supposed to be really gentle with all the tangles in your hair. Plus it's pink!
I have been in love with EOS lip balms for a while. I have one on every level of my house and always have one in my purse. The honey suckle is a great spring/summer scent!
NYX blushes are so pretty and pigmented! I am slowly collecting each one. This one is Peach.
Essie Polish: Cute as a Button
How cute are these nail polish remover pads? These were a checkout grab. I am sure they will come in handy at some point.
These Nivea lip butters do not dissipoint! I am in love with matte lips right now and if you have cracked lips you just can't do a matte lipstick, it will show everything. This lip butter will heal your lips overnight. NO JOKE!
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Black Liner... not that impressed with this quite yet. I originally got it to line my water line but it ran down onto my skin about an hour after I applied it. I haven't tried it on my upper lid yet though.

This trip to Ulta was an overall success. I stayed within my budget and I got some great gifts for a friend and for myself. :)

Friday Favorites: February 15

I hope that you had a great week and an awesome Valentines day!
I have been really enjoy a few things this week and needed to share them with you!
Batitse Dry Shampoo: I use this the day after a workout session and it takes the excess oil out of my hair so I can go without washing it for an extra day. It also smells amazing! I have used a few different dry shampoos and this is by far my favorite! If you want to try it, get the travel size one first. It's only $3!
The Ramp Saturday Night Service: The Ramp is located in Hamilton, Alabama. On Saturday nights I like to tune into the live stream and worship and enjoy the word along with them. It is a great way to prepare for my Church service the next day.
Rend Collective Experiment: Their new album Campfire has been on repeat all week!
Wilton Candy Melts: On Valentines day I remember that I had bought a bag of glutino pretzels when they were on sale and I also remembered that I had candy melts. So I combined the two for a treat! You can find these candy melts in the baking section of your supermarket.
Bath and Body Works 3- Wick Candles: I bought this candle a couple weeks ago and the scent is amazing. It's a fruity mix between grapefruit, berries, and coconut. I love the bright color and the fact that it has sprinkles on the front.

What have you been enjoying this week???
If you didn't read it, please check this out!
