Daddies' Girl [10 things my dad has taught me]

I've always been somewhat of a daddies' girl. As much as I may look like my mom and act like her most of the time, I really am grateful for all the traits I have from my dad.
We both have the same sense of humor.
We both use analogies when we talk.
We both start our mornings with coffee and the Word.
We both are passionate about things that we love.
We both really appreciate a good cup of froyo.
It has been an honor to not only be his daughter but to also work with him for the past 3 years as his Color Guard instructor.
We have only grown closer each year that we are together. He has taught me so much about life, I'm sure there's so much more I can learn from him in the years to come.
Here's what I have learned so far...
 Naps are important!
I am unique, just like everyone else.
Always have a joke ready to tell the dentist.
Crying is ok, and expected when you're watching a movie involving animals or the holocaust.
Drink your morning coffee while reading the bible.
Anticipate others needs and put them before your own.
Always make yourself laugh (and if you laugh so hard you cough that's even better.)
Be a cheerful giver.
Always have straight lines when mowing the lawn. (I'll never forget the first time he let me mow the lawn... it was horrific!)
Nutty Bars and Whoppers are called "daddy food."

I LOVE YOU DAD!

"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you."
